On June 14, 2025, a delegation led by Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of Tanzania, attended the Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in China. The delegation visited the headquarters of CECIS in Shenzhen. Vice President Chen Wenhai presided over the meeting. The two sides had an in-depth exchange on strengthening cooperation in the field of electronic information industry.

The delegation viewed products of interest, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and AI all-in-one computers. This provided them with insights into the full spectrum of China's computing industry chain and core technologies—from chips and basic software to computing hardware, finished products, and system applications. Subsequently, the delegation expressed a strong desire to leverage China's advanced computing industry and independent intellectual property within the FOCAC framework. They proposed launching pilot projects to support Tanzania's digital transformation.
